We had an eventful few days. My family traveled to the happenin’ metropolis of Boise, Idaho for my husband’s 20th high school reunion. I even got a very discounted rate at a nice hotel. It was much fancier than the Motel 6-like hotel we usually end up at.
The festivities were, as you would expect, immensely exciting.
BUT, I don’t have time for that now. I have something far more important to discuss.
I need to make:
Also, really sorry…despite your efforts to be green as you stated in numerous signs all over my hotel room, my one-year-old, Dax, had different plans. He had this uncontrollable urge to keep turning on the bathtub water.

Omg l must say that was a nice looking motel 6. The actions of your kids prove they are normal. Just like mine. LOL
oh too funny! we always leave our hotel rooms a little more loved on our way out the door too. and more than once I have had to apologize for barfed on sheets :/
Ha ha! At least you got your money's worth right?
Sounds like your Idaho vacation was just as eventful as ours! I'm glad they had fun! Did you get to swim?
Sandy
So did it end up looking like the Motel 6 by the time you left? Haha
AND you must have been 20minutes away from me! Craziness!
Sounds like your kids had a great time!
Often thought I should travel with a mini, foldable dust buster and a mop. Although, Lysol wipes do often accompany me on hotel trips.
That is too funny! We once left a pair of my sons fav pj's at a Marriott. They never found them. I think the maid stole them. Hotels are fun and a headache!
This sounds like it had all the makings of a really fun trip!
Call them and get them to send that pillow back. Tell them if they don't you will bring the kids back and stay for a week.
Oh, kids! They love to ruin everything beautiful, don't they? Love this note – I'm sure the hotel staff will appreciate it. But, most importantly, it looks like you all had a blast!
This was too cute! Very good post and I love the pictures. Sounds just like my road trip with my kiddos!
LOL, leaving home is quite an adventure, isn't it?!
You crack me up!
Bummer that you left your favorite pillow! I hate it when I do things like that!
Glad you had fun though!
That sounds like my family a few years ago! I have 8 brothers and sisters, and you (of course, obviously.. ) know how kids are!
You should have put a warning on this site that you may laugh hystercially!!! I can barley type!!! All I can say is this is why we now do StayCations!!! Great post, thanks for the laugh!!
HaHa! So glad that there are other families out there like us!

This was great! I may have to borrow this on our next vacation! It's very accurate!
Only you could make such a funny blog post out of completely normal vacation moments! Glad you had a good time. And got to control the thermostat!
Whoa, sounds like a crazy time, lol! At least they can entertain themselves, right??
Love that someone else out there has the kind of "relaxing" holiday that my family enjoys…sigh. Great post!
That is too funny! I'm sure they've seen way worse than that! I love the action shot of your daughter jumping on the bed. My daughter does the same thing as Dax with running water – so annoying! She also likes to turn all of the lights on at one time or turn them ALL on and off.
I absolutely love all of your adventures, and I think this apology letter is fabulous!
I LOVE IT!!!! Cups Up! xoxo
LOL! It's hard staying in hotels with kids
Thank you! This post TOTALLY took me back to what it was like traveling with small ones! (Whew! ONE reason to be glad to have a teen) And I love that you take your pillow with you on your travels – I do the same. Since those hotels can't be trusted to have decent pillows!
I left my pillow in a Country Inn & Suites a few years ago and I cried! They didn't find it, which means that they're using it as a hotel pillow. I'm STILL mad!
I look at your hotel stay this way: you got your money's worth!
Your blog is so fun to read…really. I just went through most of your posts, and I really like that you put up a confession page for the awards thing. I don't know what to do about that! Something has to go on the backburner and those are it! I do feel very guilty though. Thanks for an entertaining read, and for coming by Mommy LaDy Club. That is so cool that you hit a baseball at the Field of Dreams ball park!
Cheers,
Courtney
I'm sure the hotel will forgive you.
My kids jump from bed to bed too. They love it.
That is an awesome story….. sounds like a fun trip. I kinda like going on vacation, but it is always so much more effort than being home. Like you said…. everything at home is already destroyed!
Huge smile here, as I know I am not alone in this world! :0)
But I hope you get your pillow back, because I know that I could not live, strike that, make it SLEEP without mine.
Ohh the joys of traveling with small children. LOL. But you all survived, that is all that matters. And you had fun, right? Hey, if things were so *quiet* and *normal* then just think you wouldn't have anything to blog about.
Your posts never fail to make me laugh! It sounds like your kids thoroughly enjoyed the hotel room!
Your post made me smile. How I wish when my kids were little I would have taken pictures.
What a great time in your hotel room
It is wonderful that you made sure every part the room was appreciated.
That definitely sounds like an eventful time! I'm going on vacation for the first time next week with the kids. Perhaps I should start my apology letter to the hotel staff now?
Hahaha at least it looks like yall had a wonderful time
Being in a hotel with my kids STRESSES ME OUT.
But you sound like you had fun.
Pretty much every trip! Glad you are home and love your grateful moment today!
What can I say that hasn't already been said — you know I think you're awesome!
ha ha! sounds like a lot like the way the Petersons stay in hotels! I'm sure they hate people like us!
